Set your rules
Nova coaches best when he knows your plan. The My Rules field lets you give him your personal trading rules and context, which he then weaves into every response.
What "My Rules" is
My Rules is a free-text space (up to about 4,000 characters) where you describe how you're supposed to trade. Nova injects this into every reply, so his coaching is measured against your own plan instead of generic advice.
What to put in it
Write the things you'd want a real mentor to hold you to. For example:
- Your setups: "I only trade ORB and the first pullback after a trend break."
- Your risk: "Max 1% per trade. No more than 3 trades a day."
- Your timing: "I don't trade the first 5 minutes or after 11:30am."
- Your hard rules: "No revenge trades. No trading on news days."
- Your goals: "Building consistency — I care about following the plan more than the dollar amount this month."
Set or update your rules
- Open Nova settings (the AI Coach settings).
- Find the My Rules field.
- Type or paste your rules and save.
You can update them anytime as your plan evolves — Nova will use the latest version on his next reply.
💡 Tip: Keep it concrete and specific. "Don't be greedy" is hard for Nova to enforce; "Take profit at 2R unless the trend is clearly extending" gives him something real to coach against.
