Add and manage accounts
This article walks through creating a trading account, naming it, choosing its type, and switching between accounts. You'll also see how the account filter ties your accounts into the dashboard and the trade log.
Add a new account
- Open the Accounts area from the sidebar.
- Click Add account (or + Track prop firm account if you're tracking a prop-firm challenge — see Track a prop-firm account).
- Give the account a clear name — something you'll recognize at a glance, like "Apex Eval #2" or "Main Live".
- Choose a type: Live, Funded, or Evaluation.
- Fill in any optional details (such as starting balance), then save.
💡 Tip: Name accounts by purpose, not just the broker — "Topstep 50K — June" tells you far more than "Account 2".
Switch between accounts
Once you have more than one account, you can switch which one you're working in from the account selector. Changing the active account changes which account new trades are logged into and which account's stats you're viewing.
The account filter (and how it ties into your stats)
The account filter is the link between your accounts and the rest of Tradestacker:
- On the Dashboard, the filter lets you view all accounts, a type (for example, all Funded accounts), or a single account. Every stat card and chart updates to match your selection.
- On the Trade log, you can narrow the table to a single account so you only see those trades.
For the full breakdown of how filtering changes your stats, see Filter by account.
Plan limits
- Free — 1 account.
- Premium — unlimited accounts.
If you hit the Free limit, you'll see an upgrade prompt. Premium is $14.99/month, or $9.99/month billed yearly.
