Delete an account
Sometimes you need to remove an account you no longer use. This article explains exactly what happens when you delete one — and why it's permanent.
What deletion removes
Deleting an account removes the account and all of its trades. Those trades belong to that account, so they go with it.
⚠️ Note: Deleting an account cannot be undone. If you only want to stop using an account but keep its history, consider leaving it in place instead of deleting it.
How to delete an account
- Open the Accounts area from the sidebar.
- Find the account you want to remove.
- Choose Delete on that account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Why it's safe to delete on any device
When you delete an account, its trades are tombstoned — that is, marked as deleted rather than just disappearing locally. That tombstone syncs to every device you're signed into, so the account and its trades vanish everywhere, cleanly, with no stragglers reappearing later.
This is the same sync model used across Tradestacker: creations, edits, and deletions all propagate to your other devices.
Before you delete
- Double-check you've selected the right account — the trades go with it.
- If the account is a prop-firm challenge with payouts or transactions logged, those go too.
- If you just want a cleaner view, remember you can filter by account instead of deleting.
