Nova's insights
Beyond chat, Nova quietly studies your trading and generates insight cards: short, focused observations about how you trade. They're grouped into four categories, and you can turn each category on or off in settings.
The four insight categories
- Patterns — time-of-day and behavioral tendencies. For example, "Your win rate drops sharply after 2pm," or "You take more trades than usual on red days."
- Risk Alerts — habits worth watching, like revenge trading, oversizing after a loss, or a building loss streak. Nova flags these early and kindly.
- Strengths — the setups and edges that are quietly working for you. Nova points out your best-performing patterns so you can lean into them.
- Focus Areas — practical, forward-looking tips, often by day-of-week or trading session. For example, "Mondays are your weakest session — consider sizing down to start the week."
How insights work
Nova builds these cards from the same data he uses in chat — your recent trades, notes, journal entries, and stats. As you log more trades, the insights sharpen and update.
Because insights are observations about your behavior, they're most useful once you have a decent history logged. A handful of trades won't reveal much; a few dozen will start to tell a story.
Turn categories on or off
You don't have to see every category. In Nova settings you can toggle Patterns, Risk Alerts, Strengths, and Focus Areas independently — keep the ones that help you and hide the rest.
💡 Tip: New to journaling? Leave all four on at first. Once you know what motivates you, trim down to the categories you actually act on.
