Strategy performance and rules
Clicking a strategy opens its full detail view β the place to study how a single setup is really performing and to define the rules that make it work. This article covers both.
The performance breakdown
Open a strategy (click its card on the Strategies overview page) to see a deeper breakdown of its results, including its trade count, win rate, net P&L, and profit factor, plus the trend over time.
π‘ Tip: Watch profit factor and win rate together. A setup can have a modest win rate and still be excellent if your winners are much larger than your losers.
The trade list
Below the performance summary is the trade list β every trade tagged to this strategy. Use it to spot patterns: Are your losers clustered at a certain time of day? Do your best trades share a condition you could turn into a rule?
Add a rule checklist
A strategy can have a rule checklist β the conditions that should be true before you take the trade. For example:
- Price is above the opening range high
- Volume is above average
- No major news in the next 15 minutes
Add the conditions that define a clean setup. Then, when you log a trade under this strategy, you can tick off each rule you met β making it obvious, later, whether your winners followed the rules and your losers broke them.
π‘ Tip: Reviewing trades where you skipped a rule is one of the fastest ways to improve. The checklist turns "I had a bad feeling" into something you can measure.
How rules relate to Playbook setups
A strategy's rule checklist lives with the strategy. If you want a richer, reusable pre-trade checklist you assign and check off during entry, that's a Playbook setup β see Playbook setups. Playbook setups are a Premium feature.
