The rich text editor
The Notebook editor gives you everything you need to write clear, structured journal entries — without it ever feeling cluttered. Here's a tour of the toolbar, the insert menu, auto-save, and fullscreen mode.
The formatting toolbar
The toolbar sits above your note. From left to right you'll find:
- Bold, Italic, Underline, and Strikethrough for emphasis.
- Font family — choose the typeface for the selected text.
- Font size stepper — nudge the text size up or down.
- Text color — change the color of the selected text.
- Highlight color — add a background highlight, great for flagging key takeaways.
- Alignment — left, center, right, or justify.
- Lists — bullet list, numbered list, checklist (tick-able to-dos), and a divider to break up sections.
- Link — turn selected text into a clickable link.
- The "+" insert menu — for richer content (see below).
The "+" insert menu
Click the + button to insert:
- Images — add a chart screenshot or photo right into your note.
- Video — embed a video.
- Tables — lay out data in rows and columns.
- Code — a monospaced code block, handy for snippets or Pine Script.
💡 Tip: Pasting a chart screenshot next to your trade notes makes reviews far more useful later — you'll remember exactly what you saw.
Auto-save keeps your work safe
There's no Save button to remember. Your note saves automatically as you type, and a small saved indicator confirms your latest changes are stored. Because notes sync across devices, you can start a note on your laptop and finish it on your phone.
Fullscreen mode
Want to focus? Switch the editor to fullscreen to hide everything else and write distraction-free. Exit fullscreen the same way (or press your browser's Escape) to return to the normal view.
