Voice notes

Sometimes it's faster to talk than to type — right after a trade, while the details are fresh. Record a voice note and Tradestacker transcribes it automatically, so your spoken thoughts become text in your journal.

How transcription works

When you record a voice note, the audio is transcribed automatically using Whisper (a speech-to-text model). You get a written transcript you can keep, edit, and search alongside your other notes.

Record a voice note

  1. Open a note in the Notebook.
  2. Start a voice note and speak naturally.
  3. Stop the recording when you're done. Tradestacker transcribes it and adds the text to your note.

Limits

Per recording:

Monthly transcription cap (resets each month):

⚠️ Note: If you hit your monthly transcription minutes, you can still record after the cap resets, or upgrade to Premium for the higher allowance.

Supported audio formats

Voice notes support these formats: webm, mp4, wav, m4a, and ogg.

💡 Tip: Speaking a quick recap right after closing a trade captures the emotion and reasoning you'd otherwise forget by the end of the day.
