Create and organize notes
Writing your first note takes a few seconds. As your journal grows, folders keep everything findable. This article covers creating notes and organizing them.
Create a note
- Open the Notebook from the sidebar.
- Click New note (the button at the top of the note list).
- Give it a title and start writing. Your note saves automatically as you type β see The rich text editor.
π‘ Tip: A clear title like "2026-05-25 β ES morning session" makes notes much easier to find later with search.
The built-in folders
Every Notebook starts with three system folders you can't delete:
- All Notes β every note you've written, in one place.
- Inbox β where brand-new notes land by default, so nothing gets lost before you file it.
- Templates β your reusable layouts. Notes you save as templates live here. See Note templates.
Create your own folders
- In the folder list, click New folder.
- Name it (for example, "Daily reviews", "Trade plans", or a strategy name).
- Move notes into it by dragging a note onto the folder, or by setting the folder when you create the note.

Tidy up the folder list
- Drag to reorder β drag any folder up or down to arrange them in the order you like.
- Collapse all β use Collapse all to fold every folder closed at once when the list gets long.
π‘ Tip: A simple structure that works for many traders: one folder per strategy, plus a "Daily reviews" folder and a "Lessons" folder.
