Import problems
Imported a CSV and something looks off — trades missing, or P&L that doesn't add up? Imports are usually a quick fix. Work through these checks.
1. Re-check your column mapping
During import, Tradestacker asks you to match your file's columns to its fields (symbol, side, entry, exit, quantity, date, and so on). If trades imported wrong, the mapping is the first place to look.
- Re-run the import and confirm each column is mapped to the right field.
- Watch for swapped columns (entry vs exit) or a date column mapped to the wrong format.
2. Make sure you exported the right report
Brokers often offer several export types — orders, fills, executions, account statements. Tradestacker expects a trade/execution report, not a positions snapshot or a balance statement. Re-export the correct report from your broker and try again.
3. Undo and retry
If an import went sideways, you can undo it within 24 hours from your import history, then re-import a corrected file. Undoing removes the imported trades cleanly so you're not left with duplicates.
4. Check your symbol settings for futures & forex
If your P&L looks wrong for futures or forex, the culprit is almost always the contract multiplier. Tradestacker needs the correct point value / tick size per symbol to calculate P&L.
- Open your symbol / contract settings (PT / SL settings) and confirm the point value and tick size for each futures or forex symbol.
- Once the specs are right, your imported P&L will calculate correctly.
💡 Tip: Export a backup before a big re-import so you always have a clean copy — see Export your data.
